The Las Vegas Raiders‘ battle with the New York Jets on “Sunday Evening Soccer” had been a subject aim battle via three quarters till rookie tight finish for the silver and black, Michael Mayer, scored the sport’s first landing in model.
With the Raiders and Jets tied 9-9 with 14:10 left within the fourth quarter, QB Aidan O’Connell threw one up for grabs on third and 4 from the New York four-yard line. Whereas Jets security Jordan Whitehead was in place to make a play on the ball, Mayer reached excessive, snatching the move out of mid-air, seemingly channeling the good Randy Moss.
For the Raiders, the unimaginable catch gave them their first lead of the sport. In the meantime, for Mayer, it was his first profession NFL landing. Chosen within the second spherical of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame, Mayer has performed in all 10 video games for the Raiders, coming into Sunday with 13 catches (19 targets) for 159 yards (12.2).
