Former U.S. President Donald Trump congratulated Javier Milei after his victory within the second spherical of the Argentine presidential elections on Sunday, 19. Milei defeated leftist candidate Sergio Massa within the runoff election in Argentina. The South American nation is grappling with excessive inflation and a surge in crime charges.

In congratulating Javier Milei, Trump posted on Reality Social:

“Congratulations to Javier Milei on an important race for President of Argentina. The entire world was watching! I’m very happy with you. You’ll flip your Nation round and really Make Argentina Nice Once more!”.

Javier Milei’s inauguration is scheduled to happen on December 10. Coming in second place within the first spherical, Milei managed to reverse the scenario this Sunday. A second-round turnaround was a feat that had solely been achieved in 2015 by Mauricio Macri.

Throughout his first speech because the elected president, Milei pledged to uphold three ideas:
